City Park in Avila, World Heritage City, Spain

Flexible light-weight PV composites will be demonstrated, integrated in urban furniture. These solutions designed in INCREASE will be compared with typical integrated PV glass/glass panels counting on identical power output. Different shapes and designs will be included, where local students of architecture, artists, and citizens will be engaged to propose diverse designs. The same cell technology and configuration will be used, to provide insight in performance, robustness, and acceptance. The pilot will count on 2 street lights (one composite, one glass/glass), two canopies of 1 kWp, one based in composite the other based in glass, 5 pcs per canopy), two mobile charging tables (one based in each technology, (5 pcs based in composites and 5 pcs based in glass/glass)), and finally 5 m2 of PV walkable floor.
