On 7 May 2026, the partners of the INCREASE project met online for the Month 32 General Assembly titled “Ready for Launch”. The meeting brought together consortium members from across Europe to reflect on the progress achieved so far and to coordinate the next steps as the project enters a key phase of implementation. With a total duration of 54 months, the project has now reached an important milestone in its development timeline.
Funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, the INCREASE project aims to advance the integration of photovoltaic (PV) systems into buildings and infrastructure through innovative technologies, improved aesthetics, enhanced fire resistance, and cross-sector collaboration.

The online meeting opened with a welcome from project coordinator TH!NK E and focused on the progress achieved across the consortium during the first 32 months of the project. Partners shared updates on ongoing research and development activities, highlighting advancements in building-integrated photovoltaic technologies, sustainability considerations, demonstration activities, and stakeholder engagement.
Consortium members including CSEM, EPFL, VITO, TECNALIA, ONYX, CSTB, IBS, and SolarPower Europe presented the latest developments within their respective activities, while discussions also explored future priorities and the next steps towards the project’s final implementation phase.
A key aspect of the meeting was the collaborative spirit that continues to drive the INCREASE project. By bringing together researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and technical experts, the consortium is working to overcome barriers to the deployment of integrated photovoltaics across Europe. Previous INCREASE activities have already highlighted the importance of cross-sector dialogue to support the wider adoption of building-integrated PV technologies.

The meeting concluded with a final summary by TH!NK E, outlining the next steps and priorities for the project as it moves closer to its demonstration and deployment objectives.
As INCREASE enters the next stage of development, the consortium remains committed to supporting Europe’s energy transition through innovative, sustainable, and aesthetically integrated photovoltaic solutions.
