Successful Solar Roofing Event Highlights the Future of Sustainable Architecture in Switzerland


On November 12, 2024, the SICPA - Unlimetrust Campus in Prilly, Switzerland, hosted an engaging event spotlighting the transformative potential of solar roofing technologies. Co-organized by Climacy and Increase, the event titled “La Toiture Solaire, une Alternative Esthétique et Performante” (Solar Roofing, An Aesthetic and Efficient Alternative) brought together experts and stakeholders from diverse fields to discuss the role of solar roofing in advancing sustainable construction.


The three-hour event, which drew 75 participants, featured a panel of six distinguished speakers – Raphaël Conz, Christophe Ballif, Bénédicte Bonnet-Eymard, John Morello, Thomas Söderström, Cédric Bongard, and Benjamin Strahm –, who provided invaluable insights into the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities within the solar roofing sector. Moderated by Swati Rastogi Mayor, the discussions offered a comprehensive view of solar technologies and their growing relevance in Switzerland and Europe.



This initiative not only raised awareness of solar roofing’s potential but also underscored its alignment with sustainable development goals. The event highlighted the need for continued dialogue and innovation to overcome challenges and scale up the adoption of these promising solutions.
