Organised as a Satellite event of the New European Bauhaus Festival and coordinated by the EU-funded INCREASE project, this roundtable will explore how solar technologies, particularly Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), can be successfully integrated into heritage buildings, with a focus on the renovation of Gare Maritime as a best-practice case study. The project’s southern façade integration will serve as a starting point for discussing how architectural heritage and energy transition objectives can be aligned in practice.
Bringing together heritage and BIPV stakeholders, the roundtable will address key opportunities and recent developments in the sector, as well as technical, regulatory, and design challenges, including constraints linked to heritage preservation. The discussion will highlight under which conditions solar integration can support deep decarbonisation while respecting Europe’s architectural legacy.
Participation is free but places are limited. For more information or to express interest, please contact Claudia Vera (EuropeOn) via c.vera@europe-on.org.
